The numbered documents on this site are all related to an investigation regarding an inheritance of Margaret Marshall McCracken. They include attorney correspondence, Power of Attorneys, and letters written by the children and/or grandchildren of Alexander and Margaret (Marshall) McCracken. Many of these letters include recollections of the writer regarding Margaret and Alexander’s history and are written in the mid 1870’s although a few are dated earlier than that.
In all of the transcriptions, no corrections have been made to any spelling or grammer errors. Illegible words are marked as {can’t read} as well as notes added by the transcriber.
